Minutes ago we re-entered the archaeological site of ancient Olympia, bringing the Tibetan Freedom Torch to the Temple of Hera, the site where the lighting of the first Olympic torch took place. It was moving and inspiring to see Tsultrim Gope, the representative of Team Tibet, hold the Tibetan Freedom Torch in the location that the Olympics was born.  |

TORCH BEARERS HARASSED, FOLLOWED BY CHINESE AND GREEK SECURITY Olympia, Greece – Tibetans launched the Tibetan Freedom Torch Relay in Olympia today under intense scrutiny and harassment from Greek police and 15 to 20 Chinese government officials.
